Our client are a dynamic and innovative branded food business, with some the UK's most loved products. They are seeking a results-driven and strategic National Account Manager to lead the engagement with Sainsbury's - a key grocery retail partners. If you have a passion for building strong client relationships, a track record of driving P&L growth, and the ability to develop and execute impactful commercial plans, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. P&L Ownership: Take ownership of the Profit and Loss statement for Sainsbury's, ensuring profitability and growth.

  2. Commercial Plan: Develop, execute, and evaluate a comprehensive commercial plan for your accounts to drive revenue and market share growth.

  3. Account Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders within the customer, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.

  4. Business Development: Identify opportunities for new business and market expansion, and implement strategies to capitalise on them.

  5. Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts, analyse market trends, and provide regular reports to the senior management team.

  6. Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate pricing, promotions, and terms to achieve mutually beneficial agreements with customers.

  7. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal departments, including marketing, supply chain, and finance, to ensure the seamless execution of the commercial plan.

  8. Budget Management: Manage budgets effectively and allocate resources efficiently to maximise return on investment.

The ideal candidate will have proven FMCG experience as a National Account Manager (ideally within the food industry but others will be considered). You will have strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth in key accounts.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills will be key to the success of this role.

Location: Hertfordshire (Hybrid working)

Package: £48,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
